As per the notification launched through UGC, “UPDATED LIST OF UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION RECOGNITION TO THE HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS (HEIs) FOR the ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-20 and Onwards for Programs THROUGH OPEN & DISTANCE LEARNING MODE On the idea of applications obtained beneath UGC (ODL) Regulations, 2017 (Second and Third Amendments) to offer programs in ODL mode, and in continuation to the earlier UGC notification for the educational year 2018-19 and onwards in which 82 HEIs have been diagnosed to offer programs in ODL mode, following programs of individual HEIs had been regarded for educational yr 2019-20, instructional session starting JULY 2019 and onwards.”
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, in a gazette notification, stated that each of the tiers that would be offered through space and open studying mode must be given by the universities installed by an Act of Parliament of State Legislature.
